Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party leaders took out a candle rally at Lenin Centre on Sunday in support of YRSCP MPs, who would tender resignations soon as part of the struggle for Special Category Status (SCS). The party took out the candle rally to express their solidarity with their MPs.
The rally led by former MLA and YSRCP City Working President Malladi Vishnu. Speaking on the occasion, Vishnu said that the TDP leaders were always targeting YSRCP Chief Jaganmohan Reddy since they came to power. He alleged that the TDP has no integrity and commitment in the fight for the Special Category Status.
Vishnu said when the YSRCP moved no confidence motion for achieving Special Category Status, the TDP said it was of no use and not supported the YSRCP. He said when YSRCP MPs are ready to resign, the TDP commented in a negative way and not changing their attitude.
He said the YSRCP was getting ready for a hunger strike in Delhi as part of struggle for the Special Category Status. He blamed Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleging the latter has no specific action plan to get Special Category Status. The party leaders and activists were present in the rally.
