Complete NH works in stipulated time: Collector

Tirupati: District Collector PS Pradyumna has directed the officials to complete all the National Highway (NH) works within the stipulated time. Reviewing the progress of various NH works with the officials and contractors in the district at Sub Collector’s Office here on Monday, he told them to complete works without any delay.

If they face any problems in execution of works, they were asked to bring it to his notice or Joint Collector. They should take care of the works so as not to create any inconvenience to the transport of vehicles on NH, he stated. The Collector informed them to get inspiration from ODF works, which were completed, on war foot basis.

He said that 50 percent of Palamaner-Krishnagiri road works and 30 out of total 53 km road works of Madanapalle-Palamaner were completed. However, 90 percent of works at Chittoor-Piler NH 18 were completed, he added. He reviewed the progress of other NH works. NHAI PD Naidu, R&B Executive Engineer Hariprasad and contractors also took part.

Earlier, Nagari MLA RK Roja has met the Collector and brought the problems in her constituency to his notice. Nagari Municipal Chairperson Santhi and others have accompanied Roja.
