VUDA layout permissions go online
All the layout permissions that come under Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) will be cleared through online mode. The VUDA has prepared a new online system to accord permissions for the layouts and the system was launched by Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao here on Saturday.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao recalled that Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu directed all the government offices, corporations and other wings to start online services to ensure transparency in the transactions and zero corruption

Speaking on the occasion, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu directed all the government offices, corporations and other wings to start online services to ensure transparency in the transactions and zero corruption. Already, the VUDA is clearing all the building permissions and other services through online mode and now the layout permissions would also be issued through online, the minister complimented the VUDA administration.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted the services of VUDA and said that the authority is striving to put Visakkhapatnam on the world map. The VUDA services are fairly appreciated in transforming the city into a Smart City and the City of Destiny, he said. The VUDA has constructed 941 new houses, including LIG, MIG, HIG and EWS categories, and for 830 houses lottery would be conducted on May 18, the minister informed.
Elaborating the VUDA projects, the minister said that the Mudasarlova Park would be developed at cost of Rs 32 crore, Sky Walk and Sky Tower project at a cost of Rs 40 crore on the Kailasagiri Hills. Walking and Cycling tracks on the both sides of road between Kailasagiri and Bheemili would be laid at a cost of Rs 26 crore, muti-level and underground parking areas at the RK Beach and Siripuram are also coming up.
Earllier, Vice-Chairman of VUDA Basanth Kumar explained about the online mode of layout clearances and the progress of various projects taken up by VUDA.
