Health insurance cover stressed for all citizens
World Health Day was observed by Anantapur Medical College (AMC) here on Saturday. The students of AMC took out a rally to create awareness on the World Health Organisation slogan ‘Health For All’. AMC Principal Dr KSS Venkateshwara Rao called upon the people to give top priority to being healthy.

He has stated every family is spending ten per cent of their earnings on medical problems and to preserve their health. The citizens of the world should be covered under health insurance to ensure that everyone remained healthy. He stressed that everyone irrespective of rich or poor should have access to medical treatment at an affordable cost. More than 200 students participated in the rally raising slogans of Health For All.
Academic Vice-President Usha Devi, Department of Community Medicine Head Dr K Sreenivasan, Assistant Prof T Madhusudan and Dr Valmiki Sreenivas participated in the rally.
