AP leads India in farm pond digging

Amaravati: Minister Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh has stood first in the country in terms of farm pond digging.

Speaking at a workshop of the project directors of the Employment Guarantee project on Tuesday, he said that the state has managed to dig 1.63 lakh farm ponds during the last one year.

He further said that the state stood fourth in terms of the employment guarantee work days in 2017-18 by notching up 21.53 lakh work days.
