District Collector Anitha Ramachandran here on Tuesday said the administration has geared up for distribution of input subsidy at the rate ofRs 4,000 an acre per farmerunder the RythuBandhu scheme in the district. Subsidy will be distributed through cheques. As many as 56,796 farmers in 101 villages in the district will be benefited in the first phase of the programme.

The District Collector was participating as a chief guest at the one-day training programmeRevenue, Agriculture and allied department officialshere. Addressing officials, Anitha Ramachandran directedVillage Revenue Officers and Agriculture Extension Officer to identify the pattadars and hand over the cheques to the farmersinGramasabha meeting.
The administration has made preparations to distribute 58,007 cheques worth Rs 64.55 crores to the farmers in the district.The government has issued cheques through eight nodal banks and beneficiaries need not to have account in the respective bank on which cheque are issuedIf any beneficiary is not in position to attend the GramhaSabha , then officials concerned should hand over the cheque to respective person at his home, she added.
The Collector directed the officials to hold a meeting with people’s reprehensive and the presidents of RythuSamanvyaSamithis before fixing the date for holding GramaSabhas. She advised the officials to upload the details of cheques distributed every day for official ready reference and to make the programme a grand success.
She warned that dereliction of duty would be seriously dealt with. She advised farmers to present their Aadhaar cards and Pattadar passbooksat the time of receiving cheques. Joint Collector Ravi Naik, RythuSamanvayaSamithi district president KoppulaAmarender, RDOs Suraj Kumar, Bhoopal Reddy, Agriculture Officer Dev Singh, Horticulture official Suresh, Mandal-level Revenue and Agriculture and Line Department officials participated in the programme.
