Ambedkar’s services to nation recalled
Recalling the services of Dr BR Ambedkar, Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy said that he strived for uplift of downtrodden and weaker sections of the society. Earlier, he paid rich tributes to Ambedkar by garlanding his statue at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Saturday, on the occasion of his 127th birth anniversary.

The Minister stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is committed for the development of SCs and STs. He has mentioned the TD government has allocated Rs 11,000 crore for SC and ST sub-plans. Later, the Minister distributed Rs 210 crore worth assets to 350 beneficiaries. District Collector P S Pradyumna, Chittoor MLA D A Satyaprabha, TDP MLC B N Rajasimhulu, TDP district president P Nani, Mayor K Hemalatha, Joint Collector Girisha, Additional Joint Collector Chandramouli and others were present.
