I support special status: Jagapathi Babu

Mangalagiri: Character artiste Jagapathi Babu said it was not right to say that the film industry was staying aloof from the Special Category Status movement. He said that the film industry was worried about the issue and might respond in future.

"We may not have responded till now. But, it doesn’t mean that we would not respond in future, he said. As for myself, I support special status for Andhra Pradesh," he said. But, he felt that individual voices were useless. The whole industry must come out in unison, he said. He was in Kaja of Guntur district to attend a private function.

Though Jagapathi Babu’s family is not directly involved in politics, his mother in law was TDP MLA from East Godavari district.
