Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) President and the chairman of all-party Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) Prof Kodandaram addressed the issue of special category status (SCS) on Friday.

Speaking in this regard, he said that SCS to AP is not possible as investments will flow from neighbouring states to Andhra Pradesh following the accordance of the special tag which might lead to economic disparities between the states.

Instead, Kodandaram urged the state government to demand more funds and projects from the Central government for the state development.

The TJS Chief further stressed on the need for decentralisation of development instead of concentrating on Amaravati and neglecting other parts of the state.
