Ambedkar, a messiah of masses
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, joined the nation in celebrating the 127th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar at Ukkunagaram here on Saturday. CMD of RINL P Madhusudan paid rich tributes and garlanded the statue of BR Ambedkar.
Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, joined the nation in celebrating the 127th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar at Ukkunagaram here on Saturday. CMD of RINL P Madhusudan paid rich tributes and garlanded the statue of BR Ambedkar.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD said that Dr Ambedkar had believed in education as a tool for the liberation of socially backward from illiteracy, ignorance and superstition. While hailing him as an outstanding leader of the freedom struggle and champion of downtrodden and backward sections of society, Madhusudan said that Dr Ambedkar was the principal architect of constitution. “Let us follow the footprints of the great soul and make the plant and country proud,” Madhusudan called upon the employees of RINL.
KC Das, Director (Personnel), RINL, recalled the services and contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar to the downtrodden.
Directors of RINL PC Mohapatra, P Raychaudhury, KC Das, VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), PK Rath, representatives of SC and ST Welfare Association, SEA, union leaders, WIPS also paid floral tributes to mark the occasion at Ambedkar Park.
Tirupathi Rao, liaison officer, SC and ST Cell presided over the meeting.
