Guntur: APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy alleged that BC,SC,ST, minorities were feeling insecure under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule.

He said attacks were on the rise on SCs and STs. Raghuveera Reddy addressed the media after paying tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion of his 127th birth anniversary in Guntur city on Saturday. He criticised that the BJP government had cheated the people of AP and refused to give Special Status. He urged the people make the proposed state bandh on April 16 a grand success.

He said that SCS is only possible with the Congress and predicted that Rahul Gandhi would become Prime Minister in 2019 and give SCS to AP. He reminded that the AICC had already passed a resolution to this effect.

He said the Congress party leaders took out a silent rally from Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan to Dr B R Ambedkar Statue here in protest against the NDA government failing to fulfill the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act. DCC president Makkena Mallikarjuna Rao said that on the occasion of B R Ambedkar’s 127th birth anniversary, they took out a Rajyamga Parirakshana rally in Guntur city.

PCC SC cell chairman Koritivi Vinay Kumar, former MLA Mastan Vali, Congress party leaders S Srinivasa Reddy and M Mutyala Rao were among those present.
