The body of a 35-year-old woman with her throat slit was found near a field at Appannadorapalem in Narsipatnam town in the district on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: The body of a 35-year-old woman with her throat slit was found near a field at Appannadorapalem in Narsipatnam town in the district on Saturday.
The body is yet to be identified. Though the incident took place on Friday night, police recovered the body on Saturday after some locals spotted it. Preliminary investigation suggested that the woman might have been raped before murder.
Based on information, the police registered a case and investigating. Police said the autopsy report would give some clue to decide the probe angle. So far there is no clue to establish the identity of the deceased and verifying with the list of recent missing persons in the district, the police said.
