Vijayawada: YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wasted Rs 30-crore public money for his 12-hour “false Deeksha.” Addressing at public meeting at Nuzvid town in Krishna district on Saturday, he said that his Deeksha was a drama.

He also announced that he would give nine hours free power supply during day time to agriculture pumps. He said that he would give interest-free loans to farmers, if he comes to power. Every family of farmers would be given Rs 12,500 before the agriculture season. Free borewell connections also would be given for farmers, he added.
The prices of crops also would be announced before the crop season, he said and added funds would be created for price stabilisation. The government would revive all the dairies in cooperative sector and an additional price of Rs 4 price would be given for each litre of milk to farmers.

He recalled that Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter in favour of State bifurcation. Subsequently, the bifurcation was done, he said and added that the State also could not get Special Category Status because of the attitude of Chandrababu Naidu. He said that if the MPs of Telugu Desam resigned along with the MPs of YSR Congress, the State could have got the Special Category Status. He said the State government failed to run the Triple IT smoothly. He said the government could not solve problems of employees of the prestigious educational institution. The government could not provide water for Nuzvid under Nagarjuna Sagar under zone three.

He said that the mango farmers were searching for alternative crops. The government failed to take steps to provide remunerative prices to farmers. The Mango Research Station is also not working properly, he said and added that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu could not protect the significance of Nuzvid mango.

Jagan criticised the State government’s housing scheme. He wondered as to how the government was collecting money higher than the original cost of house. The Opposition leader also alleged that sand was being transported illegally near CM’s camp office. He alleged that MLAs, Collectors, and the Chief Minister were involved in huge corruption. The TDP government even failed to fulfill its promise of clearing loan waiver to farmers, he said. Chandrababu Naidu also promised a job for every house, he said and added that he had failed to keep his word. MLA Meka Prathap Appa Rao, YSR Congress leader K Parthasarathy and several other leaders were present.
