AP Govt schools to have virtual classrooms
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao said all the government schools in the State will be digitalised and classrooms would be transformed into virtual classrooms with advanced laboratory facilities.

After formally inaugurating ‘Mana Vooru-Mana Badi’ programme at Zilla Parishad Girls High School at Patamata Lanka here on Monday, the minister said best teachers are being recruited through DSC to impart quality education to the students. He said that a whopping Rs 25,003 crore was allocated in the State Budget for education by the government.
He informed that Mana Vooru-Mana Badi programme would be launched in the first week of June keeping in view the severe heat prevailing in the State. Under this programme, officials would campaign to ensure all children in the vicinity are admitted to schools. The schedule of the revised programme will be intimated shortly, he added.
The Minister said the week-long special drive would be organised across the State which would help admission of students into government schools. He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was keen on strengthening the education system in the State by allocating 15 per cent of the State budget for education.
He recalled the words of the Chief Minister who said that only with good education we can mould good future citizens. He said that the teachers should render their best service to achieve it.
He assured that henceforth teachers would not be involved in any other activities to enable them to concentrate and impart quality education to the students. He said that Andhra Pradesh should be transformed into 100 per cent literacy State, and to achieve it all the school-going age children should be admitted in schools.
District Collector B Lakshmikantham said education is given first preference for sustainable development in all the 214 countries across the world. He said that the government was providing good infrastructural facilities compared to the past which are on par with private schools.
