25 hurt as RTC bus overturns
About 25 passengers received simple injuries when the RTC bus which is going to Brahmam Gari Matham from Giddaluru of Prakasam district overturned at Pidugu Palli village of Kalasapadu mandal on Wednesday.
Porumamilla (Kadapa): About 25 passengers received simple injuries when the RTC bus which is going to Brahmam Gari Matham from Giddaluru of Prakasam district overturned at Pidugu Palli village of Kalasapadu mandal on Wednesday.
According to the sources, Giddaluru RTC depot has been operating special services on the occasion of ongoing Veera Brahmendra Swamy Aradhanotsavam in B Matam mandal.
A special bus from Giddaluru depot carrying 50 passengers to the pilgrim centre overturned at Pidugu Palli village as the steering of the vehicle reportedly got stuck and the driver lost control over it.
Luckily, there were no casualties. About 25 passengers received simple injuries in the mishap. The injured were shifted to the Porumamilla Area Hospital. Meanwhile, the passengers alleged that operation of outdated bus services by the RTC authorities was leading to mishaps.
