Car rams into lorry after tyre burst; Couple killed
A couple died on the spot and eight more suffered injuries in car tyre burst incident at Bodabanda village on the outskirts of Yemmiganur mandal on Wednesday.
Kurnool: A couple died on the spot and eight more suffered injuries in car tyre burst incident at Bodabanda village on the outskirts of Yemmiganur mandal on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Bal Dev Singh (70) and his wife Santha Bai (65) and were residents of Adoni town. According to police, Bal Dev Singh and eight of his family members had visited the Jogulamba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Alampur on Tuesday.
While they were returning to Adoni, the car tyre in which they were travelling had a sudden bust with which it flipped and hit the lorry coming in the opposite direction, the cops said. The locals shifted the injured to Adoni General Hospital for treatment. Yemmiganur Circle Inspector Prasad said a case was registered.
