Solar powered segway for physically challenged
Rs. 40,000 was spent to make this vehicle which is useful to the physically challenged. They said that the battery charging last over three hours. College principal G Sambasiva Rao, CRR Educational Institutions secretary NVK Durga Rao participated in the programme.
Eluru: District Collector K Bhaskar lauded the students of Sir CR Reddy Engineering College for their innovations. The Collector participated in a programme at the college on Wednesday and inspected the solar segway design fabrication that designed was by mechanical engineering students K Das, U MKanikantha Vasu, T Sai Viswanath, R Raviteja, M Mehar Vivek. The students explained to the Collector that the vehicle would run with solar energy and it recharges with solar power to run the vehicle.
