Rajamahendravaram: TDP rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary said that he was going to lodge a complaint with CBI against BJP MLC Somu Veerraju who accumulated wealth not commensurate with his known sources of income after becoming MLC. He alleged that the MLC who was posing as an honest leader was in fact had indulged in large scale corruption.

Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Friday, Butchaiah Chowdary said he had enough evidence to support his allegations against Veerraju and the records would be submitted to the CBI shortly.

“People are know the history of Somu Veerraju very well. He can’t even get himself elected as a division corporator. The senior TDP leader also alleged that Rs 25,000 crore scam had taken place in the purchase of Rafale fighter aircraft from France, the largest scam in the country.

Earlier, UPA government entered into an MoU the Rafale for Rs 54,000 crore to get 126 aircraft but the current BJP government raised the amount to Rs 58,000 crore, he said and asked the Central government to clarify on the need to enhance the amount to purchase only 36 fighters.
