North coastal districts of AP to get thunderstorms today
In a warning to Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, the Met department bulletin said thunderstorms with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts of north coastal Andhra on April 27.
Hyderabad: In a warning to Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, the Met department bulletin said thunderstorms with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts of north coastal Andhra on April 27.
The bulletin said thunderstorms with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in the districts and in Rayalaseema on Thursday. Rain occurred at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh, with Bestavaripeta in Prakasam district recording 4 cm of rainfall.
There was two cm of rain in Racherla and 1 cm in Cumbum and Markapur, all in Prakasam district. The highest maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius was recorded in Anantapur, Nandyal and Kurnool.
The other day temperatures in the State (in cm) were: Kadapa &Jangamaheswarapuram 41 each, Tirupati , Nandigama& Vijayawada 40 each, Nellore 39, Kakinada, Ongole, Tuni, Kavali&Arogyavaram 37 each, Visakhapatnam Airport 36, Machilipatnam 35, Narsapur 35,Bapatla 34, Kalingapatnam 33, Visakhapatnam 32.
