BJP leaders call on Kanna
MLC Somu Veerraju and former minister P Manikyala Rao called on former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana at his residence here on Friday and enquired about his health.
Guntur: MLC Somu Veerraju and former minister P Manikyala Rao called on former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana at his residence here on Friday and enquired about his health.
Lakshminarayana, who was admitted hospital on April 24 with high BP, was discharged on Friday. Sources in BJP informed that the BJP leaders when they met him on Friday, tried to convince him not to quit the party.
Lakshminarayana made all arrangements to join YSRCP on Wednesday before being admitted to hospital the previous night. The BJP leaders later told the media that they came to enquire about the health Lakshminarayana and did not discuss any politics.
Meanwhile, former Union minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao too called on Lakshminarayana on Friday. Amid reports that YSRCP is not inclined to welcome Lakshminarayana due to pressure from BJP, TDP leaders are expressing confidence that he will shift his loyalty to the TDP.
