Encroached lands will be regularised, says Narayana
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said the government was regularising the lands and issuing pattas to residents on encroachments up to 100 square yards.
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said the government was regularising the lands and issuing pattas to residents on encroachments up to 100 square yards. Distributing pattas to 497 people across the district at a programme in Kasturba Kalakshetram on Sunday, he said there were 7,649 applicants for regularisation of unobjectionable encroached lands in the district and now they were issuing pattas without collecting any fee from them.
He said there were no registration for lands under dotted category and now, there was provision for change of category on the request of person enjoying the land. MLC Beeda Ravichandra said there was an insecurity feeling among land encroachers and such small holdings are being regularised at free of cost. Collector Mutyala Raju said they had identified 11,250 encroachments in 7 municipalities and pattas would be issued for them soon.
