Tirupati: TDP’s Dharma Poratam meeting addressed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday witnessed a large gathering of people from Chittoor district and also neighbouring Kadapa and Nellore districts.

The heavy inflow of people saw the sprawling meeting venue Tarakarama Stadium full to the brim forcing people to stand outside on the roads which were also jam-packed. People were seen coming, even after the meeting began at 6 pm while many were seen returning after finding no place near the venue.

Many people complained that their buses were stopped at Avilala away from the city forcing them to walk about three kilometres to reach the meeting. Several others were seen returning after staying for an hour at the meeting, to return home early before the rain resumes.

The men and women who attended the meeting in one voice said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be voted to power with more majority in 2019 elections.

They also expressed fear that the State would be ruined if Jaganmohan Reddy wins the election. “Jagan has no experience nor has seasoned leaders in his party essential for a good rule.” While many farmers said that they were benefitted with the loan waiver and condemned the false propaganda against the scheme. “We received fourth installment of the loan waiver scheme,’’ they said.

The participants at the meeting include those coming from 19 Assembly segments in the three Parliamentary constituencies of Tirupati, Chittoor and Rajampeta spread over the districts of Nellore, Kadapa and Chittoor.
