Employees JAC to stage protest over SCS on May 9
The JAC of Employees, Teachers and Pensioners informed that a protest demonstration will be held at all district headquarters and Vijayawada on May 9, to express resentment over the negligent attitude of the Centre in according Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

A meeting of the JAC was held here on Monday to discuss the issue of implementation of AP Reorganisation Act as promised by the Centre at the time of division of the State. JAC Krishna district president A Vidyasagar and secretary Iqbal stressed on the need to condemn the attitude of the Centre in addressing the SCS issue.
It was high time employees and others extended their support to the agitation for the SCS, they said. They appealed to the employees associations and the NGO leaders to cooperate to make the protest a success.
They said that NGO leader Ashok Babu had brought the problems of the employees such as constitution of 11th PRC and exemption of all field staff from bio-metric attendance to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister responded positively to their requests, they added.
