Hyderabad: The Jana Sena party has decided to contest in all the 175 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh in 2019 elections. The Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan called upon the cadre to go ahead with constructive election strategy.

The Jana Sena party Chief Pawan Kalyan held a meeting with key activists of all 13 districts at the Party office in city on Tuesday. He introduced the Party’s chief political strategist Dev who has been working with the party for the last 10 months. Dev would be working on election plans and on institutional policy designing, he said.

Pawan Kalyan said, “It is very easy for opponents to question the political experience of Jana Sena as a party, but every Jana Sena activist has a political experience of two general elections. Ours is the first generation of Jana Sena. We are all from middle-class families. Our party has activists in all villages. Jana Sena Party is being constructed in a most disciplined manner with strong ideologies.”

He said that power was resting in the hands of a few leaders and the fruits of development were not reaching to the common man. “Jana Sena is the voice of a common man and depressed classes.

I had planned to contest 70-80 Assembly constituencies and eight Lok Sabha constituencies in the previous elections. But I had to support NDA considering the prevailing circumstances then. One should have a clear understanding of grass root level conditions and public issues,’’ he said.

``Unity among castes was the first and foremost ideology of the party. JanaSena doesn’t represent a single caste. If so, we would have not supported TDP in the first place. Let us start thinking beyond caste,’’ he said.

Pawan said that the party was focusing on strengthening the cadre in Telangana. The party would announce the election plan of Telangana by second week of August.

The Jana Sena chief said that schedule of his public tours would be announced before May 11. Details regarding the place of beginning would also be announced at the same time. “I will be in public within 48 hours of my announcement of the schedule,’’ he adds.
