Hyderabad: Thunderstorms with gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam & East Godavari districts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh on May 1, 2 and 3, the Met department bulletin warned on Monday.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in the four above named coastal districts from May 1 to 4. No large change during the period between May 5 and 7 is the weather outlook.

In Rayalaseema, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places from May 1 to 4. The maximum temperatures are likely to be around 41 to 43 degrees Celsius in some parts of the region. No large change during the period May 5 to 7 is the weather outlook.

According to the bulletin, rain occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema, while dry weather prevailed in coastal Andhra. There was three, two and one cm of rain respectively in Alur, Aspari and Owk,all in Kurnool district on Monday. The highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kurnool.

Nandyal & Anantapur 42 each, Kadapa & Jangamaheswarapuram 41 each, Tirupati 40, Vijayawada & Nandigama 39 each and Nellore 38,
Arogyavaram, Kakinada & Kavali 37 each, Ongole 36, Visakhapatnam Airport & Machilipatnam 35 each, Bapatla, Kalingapatnam, Narsapur, Tuni 34 each and Visakhapatnam 33.
