Vijayawada: The vigilance and enforcement officials on Tuesday seized a petrol bunk run by two unauthorised persons, who have been tampering the records at Gollapudi.

The officials of the vigilance and enforcement, civil supplies and legal metrology departments conducted the raid on Tirumala HP petrol bunk at Gollapudi on Tuesday and noticed that the bunk was being run by unauthorised persons Kodali Bharat and Kodali Karunkar.

Vigilance and enforcement DSP R Vijay Paul told media persons that the petrol bunk was allotted to a woman, Lakshmi, under freedom fighters quota and the licence was renewed from 2006 to 2011. Later, there was no renewal of licence, said the DSP. He said there is no information that a woman licensee Lakshmi is alive or not but two persons were running the bunk without licence.

He said the duo had tampered with the records of the petrol bunk and criminal cases were booked against them. He said the accused had purchased petrol and diesel from the HPCL plant in Kondapalli without valid licence and permission.
