The education wing of Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi launched ‘Summer Showers’, a value- based summer camp on personality development and soft skills at Sri Sathya Sai Mandir at Steel Plant Township, Ukkunagaram on Tuesday.

Visakhapatnam: The education wing of Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi launched ‘Summer Showers’, a value- based summer camp on personality development and soft skills at Sri Sathya Sai Mandir at Steel Plant Township, Ukkunagaram on Tuesday.

Mahila Balvikas gurus inaugurated the camp for the schoolchildren of Class I to VII. In all, 150 children aged between 6 and 14 from Ukkunagaram, Desapatrunipalem and Pedamushriuwada enrolled their names for taking part in the camp.

The main objective of the free summer camp is to promote and develop moral values based education on important topics like daily duties, prayers, slokas and meanings, yoga, meditation, health and hygiene physical, mental awareness, social awareness, good behavior in family and society, time management and communication skills.

NS Rao, former director (projects), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Radha, Mrudula, Krishna Kumari, Lakshmi Reddy, Madhavi, Ramanjaneyulu, Shyam, Aruna and Kasturi are the faculty. The overall coordinator for the camp is Jayasri Ganeshan, Balavikas (education wing) coordinator of Ukkunagaram Samithi and G Ramakrishna of Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi.
