Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said the government would distribute one lakh house pattas to the poor in Krishna district.

Addressing the state-level workshop on ‘Bhudaar’ with the joint collectors and officials of the revenue department here on Thursday, he said that already 40,000 pattas were distributed in the district and remaining one lakh pattas would be distributed soon.

The state government issued the Government Order (GO) No 388 to regularise the house pattas, he said. Congratulating the officials of the revenue department, he said that land acquisition process was completed successfully for various irrigation projects with the relentless efforts of the joint collectors.

The unique identity 11 digit number would be given to land owners under the Bhudaar system, he said and added that the land owners could get security on their properties.

The grievances would be solved easily under the Bhudaar scheme, he said and added that the scheme would come into force from October. The minister congratulated the officials of the revenue department for extending their services to the Polavaram project and Amaravati capital construction.

Chief Commissioner Lands and Administration (CCLA) Anil Chandra Puneetha said that Krishna district was in the top place in the implementation of regularisation of lands. The government would solve grievances of 22-A under priority category, he said and added that he would review the situation once in a week.

IT Adviser J Satyanarayana said that the government would complete the Bhudaar system as a pilot project at Jaggaiahpet town in Krishna district as first in the state. The transparency could be provided under the Bhudaar scheme, he said. District Collector B Lakshmikantham and several officials were also present.
