Mayor, civic chief felicitate SSC merit students
It was a memorable and delightful day for 33 merit Class X students of the schools run by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation as they joyfully participated in the victory celebrations at Tummalapallivari Kalakshetram on Tuesday. The VMC has organised the celebrations to felicitate 33 students, who scored 10 GPA in the SSC public examinations 2018. Vijayawada: It was a memorable and delightful day for 33 merit Class X students of the schools run by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation as they joyfully participated in the victory celebrations at Tummalapallivari Kalakshetram on Tuesday. The VMC has organised the celebrations to felicitate 33 students, who scored 10 GPA in the SSC public examinations 2018.
MLC AS Rama Krishna, Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Municipal Commissioner J Nivas, deputy educational officer K Durga Prasad, additional commissioner D Chandrasekhar, education committee chairman Nazeer Ahmed, school supervisors, teachers and parents attended the celebrations. The VMC students stood first among all the municipal schools in the state as 33 students got 10 GPA.
Mayor Sridhar and the Commissioner Nivas decided to congratulate and felicitate the students on a grand manner at Tummalapallivari Kalakshetram. The children were delighted with the recognition and performed cultural programmes on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor, said that the students made Vijayawada proud in the state by securing the highest number of GPAs in the state.
Commissioner J Nivas said the Career Foundation Course inaugurated by Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P Narayana two years ago in the city was yielding good results. MLC A S Ramakrishna congratulated the students, teachers and VMC officials on the occasion.
