SFI demands action against rapist
Members of Student Federation of India (SFI), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) staged a protest at Lenin Centre demanding stern action against the culprit of rape case at Dachepalli on Thursday.
Vijayawada: Members of Student Federation of India (SFI), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) staged a protest at Lenin Centre demanding stern action against the culprit of rape case at Dachepalli on Thursday.
Demanding that the accused be punished severely, they expressed concern over increasing incidents of rape in the state. They said that recently a minor girl was raped in Nellore district and within the span of three weeks another heinous incident was reported in Guntur district.
They alleged that the culprits are resorting to such evil acts due to the negligent attitude of the law enforcement agencies. They warned that they would launch agitation if the government fails to curb such cruel acts on children.
