Tirupati: About 10,000 students are appearing for National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET)-2018 in the city where the test will be organised in 18 centres, on May 6. City Coordinator (NEET-2018) S Indira in a press release here on Thursday said that the examination centres will be opened 2 hours and 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre after 9.30 am. The candidates must show the admit card for admission into the exam hall. A candidate, who does not possess the valid admit card, shall not be allowed into the examination hall.

The candidates are not allowed to carry the items insides the examination centre includes any stationary like textual material, geometry box, calculator, microphone, wallets, hand bags, goggles, all ornaments like ring, earring, nose pin, chain, pendant, badge, any watch, bracelet, camera, any metallic item, eatable item opened or packed and water bottle. Candidates also instructed to follow the dress code.

Light clothes with half-sleeves, not having big button, brooch, flower etc. salwar--trouser, slippers, sandals with low heels and not the shoes. They should bring only the admit card along with passport size photograph to be affixed on attendance sheet.

The coordinator also advised the candidate to leave home well in advance considering traffic, location of the centre etc and added that it would be appropriate to visit the centre a day before the examination to avoid any problem.

It may be noted here that the NEET will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission into MBBS--BDS courses in India on May 6 between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm. This year, nearly 13 lakh students are going to write the exam in 136 cities across the country.
