General Manager introduces new facilities at rail station
South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected the railway station here on Friday, along with Divisional Railway Manager R Dhananjayulu and other officials.
Vijayawada: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected the railway station here on Friday, along with Divisional Railway Manager R Dhananjayulu and other officials.
They visited the executive lounge and observed functioning of ‘wheel chair lift’ designed for direct entry into the coaches for the physically challenged passengers and ‘pet bottle crushing machine’ on the platform.
On the occasion, D Pushpa, senior safaiwala (Health Inspector’s office, RE-Colony, Vijayawada division) inaugurated renovated ‘divisional auditorium’ in the presence of the General Manager.
In a bid to move digital innovation to facilitate train operations, Vinod Kumar Yadav distributed android-based tabs and personal luggage bags to loco-pilots of Vijayawada railway division.
The tab is loaded with all the manuals, troubleshooting applications for air-conditioned and diesel locomotives and working time-tables, e-Rough journal application and data-entry rough journal application.
The GM also inaugurated ‘introduction of android-based tabs and provision of CML (Common Mini Line box) in locomotives’ brochure at the conference hall in the divisional railway manager’s office. Later, the General Manager discussed various issues and development activities pertaining to the Vijayawada division with divisional officers.
Vinod Kumar Yadav also inaugurated dish washer machine at the railway canteen. Later, the GM inspected canteen food by ordering meals and had lunch, along with R Dhananjayulu, DRM of Vijayawada and Bhooma Reddy, DRM of Guntur.
MVS Ramaraju, ADRM (Infrastructure), G Sumana, additional divisional railway manager, P Bhaskar Reddy, senior divisional commercial manager, P Chaitanya, senior divisional operating manager, GVS Raju, senior divisional engineer, NC Rao chief medical superintendent, P Nehamiah, senior divisional personnel officer, JVRK Rajasekhar, In-Charge PRO and other branch officers and staff were present.
