Kadapa: Predicting victory for Congress in Karnataka Assembly elections,Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) vice-president N Tulasi Reddysaid that the day is nearing for the endof Modi rule in the country. TulasiReddy who was one of the observers of Congress party for Karnataka state Assembly polls, addressed the media persons at Vempalle on Saturday.

He recalled that the winning of Indira Gandhi from Chikmagalur Parliamentary constituency in 1978 by-election had greatly influenced the national political scenario and later she had become Prime Minister of the country in the next parliament elections held in 1980.

He predicted that Rahul Gandhi would become Prime Minister as Congress would win majority of seats in the 2019 elections to form government on its own. Tulasi Reddy also predicted victory for Congress in the Assembly elections in states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram this year.

He observed that the ongoing Special Category Status (SCS) issue had turned out to be a major setback for BJP in Karnataka state elections, especially in the areas like Bengaluru, Rayachur, Koppala, Bellari, Davanagere, Chitradurga, ChikBallapur, Kolar andRamnagar, which contain significant population of Telugus. They are willing to give their vote in favour of Congress party, he said. DCC secretary Subrahmanyam, party leaders Narasimha Reddy and others were present.
