As dry weather prevailed in both regions of Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday, the highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Anantapur and Kurnool. There was an appreciable rise in the day temperatures ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts of the State.

Hyderabad: As dry weather prevailed in both regions of Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday, the highest day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded in Anantapur and Kurnool. There was an appreciable rise in the day temperatures ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius in some parts of the State.

The Met department bulletin said the other day temperatures registered in the State were: Kadapa & Nandigama 40 each, Nandyal, Tirupati, Nellore, Jangamaheswarapuram & Vijayawada 39 each, Kakinada & Kavali 37 each, Machilipatnam, Narsapur, Ongole & Tuni 36 each, Bapatla, Visakhapatnam Airport & Arogyavaram 35 each, Kalingapatnam 34 and Visakhapatnam 33.

The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in the coastal and Rayalaseema districts from May 7 to 10. No large change during the period May 11 to 13 is the weather outlook.
