The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)- 2018 was held peacefully in the city on Sunday. A large number of aspirants were present from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and various areas in the district. The security personnel checked the students with metal detectors.

As the organisers did not arrange any shelters, the parents and guardians, who accompanied their children, faced tough times under the scorching heat. Some of the parents raised slogans against the organisers, who failed to make arrangements for the attendants of the aspirants. However, police intervened and sent them away from the centres.
