Minister assures houses to all poor
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development P Narayana said that the dream of TDP to provide shelter to every houseless poor is coming true. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu with a mission is determined to develop Andhra Pradesh on par with other countries in the world. The developments that are taking place in AP could not be seen elsewhere in India, he said.

He reiterated these words during his visit to Kurnool on Sunday. He was received by District Collector S Sathyanarayana, city MLA SV Mohan Reddy and Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation Dr CB Harinath Reddy.
The Minister inspected NTR Housing works at Jagannath Gattu. He addressed a press conference and said that he felt very happy over the speedy progress. The TDP government sanctioned around 6.81 lakh houses across the state. Kurnool was allocated with 10,000 houses and another 13,000 houses are expected, the Minister stated.
Out of the sanctioned 10,000 houses, 3500 houses have been constructed up to 4th floor another 2200 reached the slab level. Yemmiganoor and Adoni municipalities were also sanctioned 36,553 houses. The government is also in the opinion to construct houses under Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) limits, said Narayana.
He said that Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has accorded permission to construct ground plus three (G+3) houses in 2,950 panchayats that are falling under Urban Development Authority limits. Despite of revenue burden on the government, it has decided to fulfill the dream of the common people.
He said that every infrastructure like, laying of roads, construction of drainage system, supplying of safe drinking water, power, schools, hospital, community halls and parks are also facilitated. A compound wall surrounding the NTR houses would be constructed to protect the residents from anti- social elements, added the Minister.
Expressing satisfaction, the Minister said that the works are taking place at a rapid speed. The completed houses are planned to inaugurate in the month of December. Never before seen developments are being done at Kurnool.
Municipal schools are receiving applauses from all section of people as 303 students have excelled with A Grade in 10th class exams. City MLA, SV Mohan Reddy said that the house construction works are going uninterruptedly.
