The Finance Ministers second conclave which concluded at Amaravati has proposed 13 major amendments and one addition to the Terms of References (ToR) of 15th Finance Commission.

Amaravati: The Finance Ministers second conclave which concluded at Amaravati has proposed 13 major amendments and one addition to the Terms of References (ToR) of 15th Finance Commission.

The conclave finalised the memorandum to be presented to the President of India, on Monday. Meanwhile, the Finance Ministers are planning to hold a national level bigger meeting in New Delhi with participation of more States.

It firmly believed that the ToR of the Commission vilate the federal principle as enshrined in the Constitution, erode autonomy of all States and bring significant financial hardship to all States.

Manpreet Singh, Minister for Finance and Planning, Punjab, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Minister for Finance of AP, Amit Mitra, Finance Minister of West Bengal, Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister (Finance), New Delhi, TM Thamos Isaac, Minister for Finance, Kerala addressed the media after concluding the Conclave at Secretariat on Monday.

V. Narayana Swamy, Chief Minister of Pondicherry did not attend the press conference as he left the Secretariat before the press conference, to catch his flight.
