Awareness rally held for women and children safety
As per the directions of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, District Rural Development Agency and Velugu departments organised massive rallies in the district on Monday to create awareness on women and children’s safety.

In city, public representatives, members from SHG groups and Non-government organisations, students in large numbers participated in the rally which started from state guest house and concluded at Seven roads.
On the occasion District Collector T Babu Rao Naidu said that sexual assault against women and children is a barbaric act. Parents are afraid to let their daughters out even in during daytime as there is no security for them in the society. People should condemn such inhuman act, he said.
He urged the people that they should take initiative to protect women and children from the culprits whenever they notice such incidents. District Superintendent of police Babujee Attada warned that stringent action would be taken against those who are responsible for such inhuman acts as government will not hesitate to award them capital punishment.
