Tirupati: International Young Scientist Congress (IYSC)–2018 began its two-day workshop at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (RSVP) here on Tuesday. The objective of IYSC is to promote research and developmental activities among the young researchers besides promoting scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers and other stakeholders across the globe.

It has conducted three conferences so far and RSVP has been hosting the fourth workshop in pilgrim city now while the first three were hosted by Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, and Mehsana in Gujarat. Academicians from various countries like Nigeria, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Indonesia are attending the IYSC.

The participants were enthusiastic over participating in the conference which had researchers across various fields. Speaking to The Hans
India, the scholars from Bangladesh and Nigeria have explained their opinions.

Dr Anyanwu Paul E, Chief lecturer at The Federal Polytechnic, Bida in Nigeria has told, “It’s great to see the scholars from different walks of life coming to a place for brain storming sessions”. Specialised in statistics, he observed that without statistics, there is no research and motivated analysis has been an important area.

It would be great learning experience that aims at better science and better world and for that he picked interest to be in Tirupati. In the same breath, the Associate Professor at Bangladesh Agricultural University Dr Md Azharul Islam has said that participating in such conferences can facilitate interaction with many other scholars and these experiences would be of great help.

“I will be the examiner at poster presentation on Wednesday for which I am eagerly waiting for as it gives us a lot of insights,” he averred. Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor of RSVP Prof V Muralidhara Sharma underlined the importance of Sanskrit saying that it was the ‘Manjusha’ (Jewel Box). “India has given three prominent gifts to the world and they are philosophy, ayurveda and yoga.

These three were kept in a Manjusha and gifted to the world,” he stated. Going deep into that, he explained, the philosophy says the entire earth, sky and water should be peaceful. Yoga says that mind is main thing whereas ayurveda advocates that if one is in fasting during important days, the body will be definitely in his control which was even proved by Japanese Nobel Laureate in Medicine Yoshinori Ohsumi in his work ‘Autophagy’.

It explains how the body’s cells break down and recycle their own components. Dr Anyanwu Paul E, the Chief of IYSC Dr Dipak Sharma, RSVP Registrar Prof Ch P Satyanarayana, local organising secretary Prof Rani Sadasiva Murthy and other also spoke in which about 153 delegates from several countries are participating.
