TS, AP Chief Secretaries to meet today
To sort out the bifurcation issues, Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana-- Dinesh Kumar and S K Joshi respectively are going to hold a meeting in Hyderabad on Friday.
Amaravati: To sort out the bifurcation issues, Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana-- Dinesh Kumar and S K Joshi respectively are going to hold a meeting in Hyderabad on Friday.
The AP government has identified 40 points for this meeting including the long-pending issue of bifurcation of institutions pertaining to 9th schedule of AP Reorganisation Act 2014.
The AP government arguing that there are 45 institutions identified, which do not have any physical assets and they could be shared immediately, but on contrary the Telangana State government is not showing interest to sort it out.
Though Sheela Bedi Committee gave recommendations on 72 institutions out of 91 and the AP government agreed to bifurcate them, but the Telangana government opposed it.
Regarding sharing of employees, the technical and personal problems of some of the employees will be sorted out on Friday meeting. The AP government is proposing three options for Telangana government on the bifurcation of AP Bhavan located in New Delhi.
But, there was no proper response from the Telangana government on it and claiming that it would not give it to the residuary Andhra Pradesh. According to officials at the AP Secretariat, the Telangana government was reportedly claiming entire AP Bhavan and its assets.
