Former Home Minister Vasanta Nageswara Rao and his son Vasanta Krishna Prasad have joined the YSRCP. They met YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Kaikaluru in Krishna district on Thursday and joined the party.

Vijayawada: Former Home Minister Vasanta Nageswara Rao and his son Vasanta Krishna Prasad have joined the YSRCP. They met YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Kaikaluru in Krishna district on Thursday and joined the party.

Jagan invited them to YSRCP by offering a shawl. On the occasion, Vasanta Krishna Prasad said that YSRCP would come to power in the next elections. He said that only YS Jagan would do justice to the poorer sections in the state.

The students of IIIT-Nuzvidu met Jagan and complained that they were not being paid scholarships and fee reimbursement properly. They said that they were also facing other problems. In addition, the employees of Endowment department also met the YSRCP chief and said that the government was paying only Rs 30 per cent in the gross income of the temples.

Several farmers met the YSR Congress president and brought their problems to his notice. They said that they were migrating to various other locations to the State for livelihood. On this occasion, he assured that he would do justice to the farmers.

Besides, the leaders of VROs Association met Jagan at Lingala village. They made a representation to him that the VROs were not being paid salaries for the last three months. On the other hand, the party leaders are making arrangements grandly in view of YS Jagan’s padayatra entry to West Godavari district on May 13.
