Celebrating the International Day of Biological Diversity 2018, the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is conducting competitions for schoolchildren. The competitions will be conducted in drawing, essay writing in Telugu and English.

Visakhapatnam: Celebrating the International Day of Biological Diversity 2018, the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is conducting competitions for schoolchildren. The competitions will be conducted in drawing, essay writing in Telugu and English.

For drawing competitions, there will be two categories. For Class III to V, the topic is ‘Forest with Wild Animals’ and for Class VI to X, the topic is ‘Biodiversity Conservation.’ Competitions will be held on May 16 from 10 am to 1 pm.

For essay writing competition in Telugu for Class VIII to X students, the topic is ‘Biodiversity-Challenges-Initiatives.’ For essay writing in English for Class VII to X students, the topic is ‘Threats and Measures to Conserve Biodiversity.’ Competitions will be held on May 17 from 10 am to 1 pm.

According to curator of Zoo Park Yesoda Bai, entry is free to all participants from May 16 to 18. The results will be declared on May 18 at 11 am, she added. One can register their names at main gate from May 12 from 9 am to 5 pm. For more details can contact on 0891-2552081 /9440810211.
