Reiterates that he will provide a financial assistance of Rs 12,500 to every farmer in May before the beginning of agriculture season

Addressing a meeting at Kaikaluru in Krishna district as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Saturday, he said that Chandrababu Naidu had no guts to talk about the attack and his role. He said that the Chief Minister had been cheating people for the last four years. He asked Chandrababu Naidu as to why he did not ask about Special Category Status (SCS) during the last four years.

He said that the Special Status issue would have received the attention of the country, if the MPs of Telugu Desam resigned from their posts. He pointed out that two MPs of the Telugu Desam Party continued as ministers in Union Cabinet for four years.

Jaganmohan Reddy also said that the government failed to solve the Kolleru issue though the local MLA was in the State cabinet. He said that he would conduct resurvey and do justice to the poor farmers by giving back their lands, if he is voted to power.

The villagers of Kolleru area were migrating to other parts of the State due to lack of drinking water and livelihood. A regulator would be constructed on Uppeteru, he assured the people. He reiterated that he would pay Rs 12,500 to farmers every May before the beginning of agriculture season. The farmers could get back 50 per cent of investment, he said and added that he would provide nine hours free power to agricultural pump sets.

The prices for crops would be fixed before the agriculture season starts, he said. YSR Congress leaders Samineni Udayabhanu, K Parthasarathy, Perni Nani, Kodali Nani and several other leaders were present.
