Protest for house site pattas
The leaders of various parties and people of hill areas staged a protest at One Town here on Friday demanding that the government allot house pattas to the poor.
Vijayawada: The leaders of various parties and people of hill areas staged a protest at One Town here on Friday demanding that the government allot house pattas to the poor.
Janasena leader Pothina Venkata Mahesh, MRPS state president Peripogu Venkateswara Rao, Tribal Liberation Front president Anumolu Vamshi Krishna participated and extended their support to the poor.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that the people of various areas were not having house pattas though they have been living in the sites for the past several decades. They said that they could get loan facility if the government gives house pattas to the residents.
They said that the government gave the assurance during the elections but now the leaders of ruling party kept mum in this regard. They said that they would intensify the agitation for allotment of house pattas. They criticised the government for delaying the allotment process while giving priority for other issues. Several leaders were also present.
