Vijayawada: Deputy transport commissioner E Meera Prasad warned that the department would impose a fine of Rs 50,000 on the automobile dealers for delivering the vehicles without temporary registration.

In a press release here on Saturday, Meera Prasad said that the department conducted raids in different parts of the district on Saturday and noticed some dealers were releasing the vehicles without temporary registrations.

He said instructions were issued to the dealers to exhibit the display board in their showrooms containing information about the T/R fee, permanent registration fee and postal fee and asked the dealers to collect the fee as per the norms only. He said the department would cancel the dealership for violation of rules.
