Prime accused Shiva arrested in murder case

Vizianagaram: Vizianagaram police on Sunday arrested main accused M Shiva in the sensational murder case reported at ITDA park of Garugubilli mandal recently.

Y Gowri Sankar was killed on May 7 at ITDA Park by a gang which was deployed and funded by his wife Saraswathi. Actually Saraswathi and Shiva became friends through Facebook and they used to go to parks and cinemas. But later she got married to Gowri Sankara Rao, who was her close relative and well-wisher of her family.

But she was not interested in marrying him as she was in love with Shiva. She paid Rs 25,000 to Shiva and asked him to kill Gowri Sankar at Bengaluru where he was working as an engineer at a power plant. There he reportedly hired a gang to eliminate Gowri Sankar. But the hired gang at Bengaluru expressed their inability to kill him and walked out of the operation.

Later, Saraswathi asked Shiva to deploy another gang to kill her husband and subsequently she wanted to marry her lover. For carrying out the crime, she had given her engagement ring to her lover to meet the expenditure.

As per their plan, the gang led by M Gopi had killed Gowri Sankar by beating him with iron rod on his head. Later, Saraswathi enacted a drama and told the police that some robbery gang had killed her husband and looted the gold ornaments from her. But, members of the gang except her Facebook lover, Shiva, were arrested on the next day after they had committed the crime. Now, the police also nabbed the main accused Shiva.
