Tirupati: Jana Sena Party (JSP) founder president Pawan Kalyan said protecting the sanctity and serenity of the holy Tirumala was the responsion all of us. Speaking to media after a darshan of Lord Venkateswara, he stressed on the need for everyone striving to uphold the holiness of the sacred Tirumala.

He declined to take questions from the media on the ground that it is not wise to speak on politics as he came on a pilgrimage to offer prayers to Lord Venakteswara and devote himself to mediation in the hill-top temple town.

Earlier, Pawan Kalyan availed ‘Divya Darshan’ facility being provided by the TTD for the pilgrims who reach Tirumala on foot and moved in the queue line like a common pilgrim, along with a select group of his supporters.

Sources said after his Tirumala visit, Pawan Kalyan will have a meeting in Tirupati with his party leaders to finalise the road map for his Bus Yatra and also other party matters, before leaving from here to launch his padayatra from Srikakulam.

He freely mingled with the devotees and interacted with them in a friendly manner with co-pilgrims who vied with one another to come close to the film star-turned-politician, giving a tough time to his followers in controlling them..

He confided with his followers accompanied him in the temple visit that he had a long association with Lord Venkateswara and recalled that it was at Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy shrine, a sub-temple in the Tirumala temple complex where his annaprasanam ceremony was done by his parents and observed that he prayed the Lord to bless him to devote his entire strength for the service of the people.

Party sources said that Pawan Kalyan will stay at Tirumala on Monday too confining himself to spiritual activities, including visiting some of holy places on the hills, prayers and mediation in Hampi mutt, a less known area on the hills where he is accommodated.

It seems, the JSP chief chose a secluded place away from Tirumala main area, near Gogarbham dam amidst sylvan forest ideal for spending time on meditation.

It may be noted here that Pawan Kalyan climbed the hills on foot on Saturday night through 10 km serpentine Alipiri foot path. He helped aged women by carrying their luggage for a distance and all along the way freely conversed with other devotees who were trekking the hills chanting Govinda Govinda in the late night.

However, enthusiastic fans and followers who trailed him and trying to move near him made his journey difficult forcing him to halt often en route on the foot path and also to have some relaxation from the climbing of steep hill path.
