Sculptor appreciates work at Yadadri
Renowned sculptor and the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy visited Yadagirigutta to observe the construction works of Yadadri Narasimha Swamy Temple on Monday.
Vijayawada: Renowned sculptor and the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA) CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy visited Yadagirigutta to observe the construction works of Yadadri Narasimha Swamy Temple on Monday.
On invitation by the Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority, Dr Reddy inspected the main temple, Gopurams on west, east and north sides, two prakarams and the temple of Siva which are under construction and visited the sculpture workshops of the contractors D Hari Prasad, D Ravinder, Balasubrahmanyam, Venkatareddy, Potuluraiah and Rabbani.
He gave certain suggestions and asked them to follow Silpa and Agama principles. It may be recalled that Dr Reddy was appointed member of the expert committee of the temple for periodical inspection of architectural and sculptural works taken up as a prestigious temple project by the Government of Telangana.
