Newly appointed State BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana said the election results in Karnataka teach a lesson to the Telugu Desam and the Congress parties in AP. He said the people voted for the BJP taking into consideration development works being executed in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP would fulfill all the promises as per the AP Reorganisation Act, he said.

Kanna said the BJP would come to power in Andhra Pradesh and win majority MP seats also. Newly elected BJP Election Management Committee convenor and MLC Somu Veerraju said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would face defeat in the 2019 elections.

He pointed out that Naidu tried hard to prevent BJP victory in Karnataka and was not successful in his attempt. He demanded that Naidu should submit his resignation from the post. Alleging that the TDP leaders had attacked BJP national president Amit Shah at Alipiri a few days ago, he said the culprits should be brought to book.

MP Gokaraju Ganga Raju said that the Telugu people voted in favour of the BJP in Karnataka. He said the BJP would register victories in the Centre and the State in the next elections. The false campaign which was being made against the BJP proved wrong in Karnataka elections, he said. He said the leaders of the Telugu Desam Party were concerned about their prospects in the next elections.
