The famous pilgrim city has been witnessing rapid development after TDP came to power, said local MLA M Suguna at the TDP Mini-Mahanadu held here on Monday.
Tirupati: The famous pilgrim city has been witnessing rapid development after TDP came to power, said local MLA M Suguna at the TDP Mini-Mahanadu held here on Monday.
MLA said the ‘Smart City Project’ which is under way is bound to change the face of the city into a well-developed urban area with best infrastructure and basic facilities.
She said Tirupati stood in enviable position in the state with 10,000 houses were constructed and allotted to the homeless poor in the city and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu impressed over the corporation performance in the housing programme, sanctioned ten thousand houses more to the poor in the city, she said, claiming that it was the only city in the state recorded such a good performance in housing programme.
Besides, thanks to Chandrababu initiatives, many industries are coming up near Tirupati for employment of local youth, she said. Stating that no government in the country introduced so many welfare programmes for poor, she wanted the party activists to strive to take the schemes to the eligible beneficiaries and also get a feedback on the implementation of the scheme for presenting it in the state party Mahanadu. TUDA chairman G Narasimha Yadav, city TDP president Dampuri Bhaskar Yadav and local leaders present in the party meeting.
